Promotes the conservation of the hirola antelope and its fragile habitat in partnership with communities in eastern Kenya.
He is the head of hirola scouts in Galmagalla and Sangailu area with over 10 years’ experience on hirola monitoring. He was a research assistant to Dr. Samuel Andanje of the Kenya Wildlife service for four years. Mr. Hajir is charge of 10 scouts in this area and their area of operations include Hulugho, Deka-Harja and Sangailu area
