Hirola Conservation Programme:

saving the world's most endangered antelope

Promotes the conservation of the hirola antelope and its fragile habitat in partnership with communities in eastern Kenya.

Khalif Ahmed Mohamud

Khalif has been involved in conservation since 2007. He first worked as a ranger with the Arawale hirola community conservancy. He is currently working with the hirola conservation program both as a ranger and helping in data collection. He leads a team of other rangers to patrol the area routinely to help report human wildlife incidents and also curb poaching in the area.
