Hirola Conservation Programme:

saving the world's most endangered antelope

Promotes the conservation of the hirola antelope and its fragile habitat in partnership with communities in eastern Kenya.

Aden Mohammed

Aden is our scout based in Sangailu area. He is a very dedicated young man who is passionate about conservation. His interests in conservation were nurtured when he used to tend his cattle and goats in the area and would occasionally see his cattle mixing with wildlife, especially the hirola antelope. This fascinated him and he later joined the hirola conservation project early this year as a scout. He has been helping the project by conducting patrols and collecting wildlife monitoring data in Sangailu.
