Dr. Richard Muita

Board chairperson

He is a climatologist with over 20 years working experience with the Kenya Meteorological Services. He has vast experiences and skills in climate data collection, analysis and presentation and use of GIS. He holds a Ph.D. in Drought Modelling from the University of Sydney – Australia (2014).

Adams.M. Gakuo

Vice chairperson

He is a natural resource and waste management specialist. He holds MSc in Tropical Ecology from Bremen University, Germany and a BSc. Degree in Wildlife Management and Conservation from the University of Nairobi. He is a registered Lead Expert by National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA)

Hassan.A. Boru

Secretary

Mr. Boru holds an MA in Environmental and Planning Management and a BSc. Degree in Wildlife Management and Conservation both from the University of Nairobi. He has worked for several organizations key among them being the IUCN, African Wildlife Foundation, Land O’ Lakes Inc, and Earth Watch.

Abdullahi Garane Aden

Member

He is an advocate and managing partner at Garane & Somane Advocates, specializing in conveyancing, M&A, Corporate Law, project finance, and Civil and commercial litigation. He holds an MA in Environmental Law from the University of Nairobi, an LL.B-Moi University and Post-Graduate Diploma from Kenya School of Law.

Zamzam Nunow Mohamed

Treasurer

She has a wealth of experience in finance management. She holds an MBA from University of Nairobi. She is the Managing Director of Wildmart Africa Limited, that provides high-quality Wildlife, Bio enterprise, Forestry, Environmental and Science supplies to conservancies, state corporations, individuals, universities, wildlife research and conservation charities, and NGO's mostly around the East African region.

Dr. Mohamud Hashir Ali

Member

He has a PhD in Environment Management from Nelson Bay University in the USA, MA in Project planning and management and Bsc in Biological science from Egerton University. He has over 20 years’ experience in consultancy on environment conservation and development with various organizations such as NEMA, UNHCR, UNDP, MENR, WFP, County government of Wajir and Tana River.

The Board of Directors don’t run the business
on a day to day basis, but they play a
mentorship and advisory role to
the Core Team and  Officers.

The board members are blessed with
