saving the world's most endangered antelope

Promotes the conservation of the hirola antelope and its fragile habitat in partnership with communities in eastern Kenya.

He is a Somali pastoralist from Bura area. His interest in conservation led him to join the Arawale hirola community conservancy as a ranger. He has been involved in conservation work for the last ten years. He has joined the hirola conservation project as a ranger and still helps in data collection. His expertise as tracker in the bush; skills he acquired while tending his cattle and goats are a big asset to the project. This has helped in reporting cases of poaching and charcoal burning in the area.
