Mission, Vision and Objectives
- Our Vision: Establish and sustain a conservation programme to make lasting contributions to the future of hirola antelope and of local communities within the hirola's geographic range.
- Our Mission: To protect and increase the numbers and distribution of hirola through participatory conservation, education, community involvement and international support. We recognize that conservation is a multi-stakeholder initiative and does not occur in isolation.
- Our Objective: is to undertake a holistic approach that will permit the long-term co-existence of conservation and pastoral livelihoods in eastern Kenya.
In 2011, in collaboration with our international partners we have scaled up our programme to focus on: training and employment of communities to protect and monitor hirola, habitat restoration and protection and community education.
